Stainless steel cone filters are very low cost pipeline strainers that are designed for start-up of new or revamped piping systems. They offer inexpensive protection for costly valves, pumps, meters, and other mechanical equipment against damage causing contamination present during start-up and commissioning. They are for temporary use and should be removed and thrown away after the initial cleaning of the system. Since these strainers are temporary, they need to be installed in a section of pipe such as a removable spool piece.
Widely used in chemical fiber, petroleum, chemical industry, pharmacy, foodstuff, water treatment electric, power, pharmaceutics, machinery, metallurgy, ceramics, dispose of sewage, foodstuff and beverage, cosmetic etc.
Stainless steel filters and strainers offer a high degree of corrosion resistance. Many of the process industries that use metal filters and strainers introduce moisture or caustic fluids to the filtering element. For these reasons, stainless steel is a natural choice. Thanks to advances in welding technology, many of the filters and strainers that were historically made from Monel are now constructed with cost effective, long lasting stainless steel. Roughly 90 percent of the metal filters and strainers manufactured by Steel Long are constructed with stainless steel for these reasons.
