The classification and function of oil filter
Due to the viscosity of oil is large,the oil of the debris is higher,in order to improve the filtration efficiency,oil filters generally have three grades,set oil filter、crude oil filter and secondary oil filter.Set oil filter installed in front of oil pump in oil sump,generally use a metal mesh type.Crude oil filter is installed behind the pump,and main oil gallery in series,mainly have metal blade type,sawdust cartridge and several microporous filter type,mainly used micoporous filter type at present.Secondary oil filter installed behind the oil pump and main oil gallery in series,there are mainly have micoporous filter paper type and rotor type .Rotor type secondary oil filter used centrifugal filtration,no filter element,and effectively solves the contradiction by and between oil filtration efficiency.
In order to friction between moving parts relative to engine,reducing wear and tear of parts,oil has been continuously transported moving parts friction surface,forming a lubricating film and lubrication.Oil itself contains a certain amount of gum,impurities,water and additives.At the same time the engine operation,into the air,debris,oil,metal oxides produce debris,making the oil debris gradually increased.If the oil is not filtered and directly into the lubricating passage way,it will be debris in the oil into the deputy campaign friction surface,accelerated wear of parts,reduce engine life.The function of the oil filter is to filter the oil debris,gum,and water and transported the clean oil for lubrication parts.
