Wedge Wire is made from round wire which is first looped at regular pitched intervals and then pressed into deep wedge shaped section.
The loops themselves are pressed so as to produce at each side accurately sized shoulders which butt together when the wires are assembled,
The individual wedge wires are built into panels by threading cross rods of suitable diameter through the loops on the wires.
Wedge wire is particularly suitable for making up into large floor areas. The unique properties of our looped wedge floors provide a smooth surface, uniform and accurate slots and mechanical strength unrivalled by other systems.
Typical applications include
Upward flow clarifiers for water and sewage treatment
Germination floors
Malt kiln flooring
Grain drying flooring
Drain covers for shopping malls, plazas and public areas

Looped Wedge Wire is made from round wire which is first looped at regularly pitched intervals and then pressed into a deep wedge shaped section. The loops themselves are pressed so as to produce at each side accurately sized spacing shoulders which butt together when the wires are assembled. The width of the slot apertures in the finished panel is determined by the difference between the width of the top face of the wedge profile and the width over the spacing shoulders. The individual Wedge Wires are built into panels by feeding cross rods of suitable diameter through the loops of the wires.
The whole is then clamped together and made secure. The finished sieve is therefore a grille made up of cross rods supporting profiled wires with loops.
Looped Looped Wire screens provide the perfect solution to vibratory applications that require high strength both laterally and transversely.
Wires are looped around a supporting cross rod and compressed to fit snugly.
Slots can be manufactured to 0.005”.
Looped Wire is used in the following industries; Brewing, Pulp and Paper, Chemical, Mining and Aggregate and Waste Water, and more.
Supplied in both straight and deep arch design.
Deep arch design provides several advantages to a straight wire, especially in a dewatering sieve application:
Concentrates the liquid at the low point of the arch and away from the support bars.
Reduces blinding (clogging).
Self-cleaning due to the side way movement of the liquid.
Higher retention rates.
Increased flow capacity.
